Residence card renewal

Renewal types we handle:
• Study renewal — prórroga de estancia por estudios / student stay: enrolment, means, address (padrón), health cover, and academic continuity.
• Work renewal — residencia y trabajo por cuenta ajena or cuenta propia: employment contract / activity proof, Social Security alta, tax compliance; work renewals are often granted for several years when conditions are met.
• Family renewal — reagrupación familiar: ongoing family link and sponsor’s economic/housing conditions; or tarjeta de familiar de ciudadano UE (often EX-19) when the sponsor is an EU citizen.
• Related renewals — non-lucrative residence, highly qualified / EU Blue Card renewals, and long-term residence when eligible after continuous stay.
Timing: apply in the legal window before expiry (and know the short post-expiry grace with possible surcharge). After approval, request the new TIE within the official deadline.
