Residence
Residence card renewal
Renewal types we handle:
• Study renewal — student / higher-education residence: new enrolment, proof of means, address, health cover, and study progress where required.
• Work renewal — employment / professional activity: contract or activity proof, tax and Social Security compliance (NISS / no debt), address and passport.
• Family renewal — family reunification or family member of an EU/EEA/Swiss citizen: proof the family link still exists, sponsor’s residence status, housing and means.
• Other common renewals — highly qualified / Blue Card style titles, and EU registration or family residence cards when due.
Important: renewing the same category is not the same as changing status (for example student → worker). A category change usually needs a separate AIMA route (contact form / new authorisation), not a simple renewal.
Typical shared documents: valid passport, current card, proof of address, subsistence, and fees (DUC). Category-specific papers are added for study, work or family.
How EOB helps: identify your exact renewal type, build the checklist, prepare the AIMA file, and track deadlines so you avoid refusals or gaps in legal stay.
